This is a company which has 5.2 million subscribers, making billions of dollars per year. Not only can they afford they payouts as a matter of doing business, it's also cheaper to do that than to invest in safety in advance.

Yep, have definitely had that moment walking into a pub. Flixborough in Lincolnshire. Stepped through the door to instant dead silence and stares. They warmed up a lot once we’d ordered some drinks and made small talk (and they found out I was related to a local) but yeah, I even had a moment of thinking “wow, Slaughtered Lamb vibes”.

I've had that Slaughtered Lamb reaction on too many occasions for my liking ... being a Black Londoner and walking into a pub in small towns in the north of England ..it's fricking creepy...! I did have it once in a pub in London and to break the ice...I used the classic line from Blazing Saddles "Where the White women at..?" Everyone laughed and chilled out... thankfully..! I also had one time when a landlord said "We don't serve your kind in here..!" I backed out the door very slowly...no sudden moves ..the atmosphere was tense..! 😬

Believe it or not, when those was released in cinemas it was billed as a comedy. It was a big hit on VHS video when that was invented.

Don’t feel bad for laughing. This is considered an iconic Horror- Comedy. Another good werewolf transformation movie, “The Howling” (has several sequels), definitely not a comedy. Not sure if you’ve seen “Dog Soldiers”, really good looking/scary werewolves.

I loved the way they filmed the wolfs fur growing , they stitched in the fake fur at full length , then filmed the fur being pulled back inside , then they showed that film in reverse .... it looked soooo good ....

I love that one of the guys drinking in the Slaughtered Lamb is comedy legend Rik Mayall. RIP. Such a good movie. Also Jenny Agutter, amazing in everything. Anyone of a certain age is guaranteed a livelong crush. She was also in the original Logan's Run I think.

I feel bad for Simone, I think she did not enjoy this one.

One of those historically ground breaking films that managed to bring a traditionally "B" film storyline into main-stream cinemas by elevating the production values, acting etc. and also successfully blending horror and comedy. I am so glad I lived through these eras when directors and studios weren't as afraid to try new things.
